Abstract

The research aimed to examine the influence of the bureaucratic work environment and employee treatment on the work engagement of the employees. Literature was reviewed to deepen the concept of the study. The study used a descriptive assessment and correlational research design. The population of the study was the employees of the institution where the study was conducted and total enumeration was the sampling method. The study used questionnaires to gather the data and descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The study found that the bureaucratic environment and employees' work engagement were high and employee treatment was moderate. The Pearson r correlation analysis suggested that bureaucratic and work engagement are significantly correlated but there was no significant correlation between employee treatment and work engagement. The study recognized its limitation because of its limited population and variables being investigated. It is necessary to conduct further studies to determine organizational culture and work engagement.
