Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the influence of parents' educational aspirations on the academic stress and healthy and unhealthy behaviour of students and the effect of academic stress on healthy and unhealthy behaviour. To deepen the concept of the study, literatures were reviewed. The study used descriptive assessment and correlational research design. The population of the study were the nursing students who were enrolling in the 2023-2024 school year. Questionnaires were used to gather the data and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The results found a significant correlation between parents' educational aspirations and academic stress, between parents' educational aspirations and healthy behaviour but not unhealthy behaviour, and between academic stress and healthy and unhealthy behaviour. The study recognized its limitation because it was limited to nursing students only, it needs to expand its respondents to include other courses.
